Alla Zagaykevych (b. 1966) is the Ukrainian composer who combines activity in both academic genres (symphonic, chamber, electroacoustic compositions, chamber opera) and modern media-art (performances, multi-media installations, music for films and video-art works).
She graduated from Kyiv State P.Thaikovsky Conservatory (1990).
In 1995-1996 she attended annual course for composition and musical informatics at the Institut IRCAM (Paris). In 1997 she created the Electronic Studio at the National Music Academy of Ukraine.
Since the mid-1990-th Alla Zagaykevych is an active promoter of academic electro-acoustic music trends in Ukraine, she collaborates with performers of experimental electronic and new improvisation music.
Since 2003 she is the – Artistic Director of international projects ”Electroacoustics”, ”EM-Visia”, a. o.
Musica Nova International Competition’s Winner (2011)Author of musicological articles in scientific periodicals.President of Electroacoustic Music Association of Ukraine (since 2010).
MISTO (City) of Mikhail Semenko is an impressive dynamic sound urban landscape, created by means of futuristic sound poetry. A fast bright whirlwind of sounds of the city, movements of engine cars, trams … people, smoke of factories … and cigar smoke forms a unifying dynamic statement, full of internal rhythm and energy.
Mikhail Semenko (1918 – 1937) – poet, founder and theoretician of Ukrainian futurism. He is considered to be one of the lead figures of Executed Renaissance. Semenko was arrested in 1937 and executed by NKVD.
